Ordered a "Pennys big breakfast", everything tasted like it was out of a deep fat fryer, including the mushrooms and black pudding, sausages really over cooked! No service with a smile!, no "sorry the food was sub standard, to top it all we nearly paid for it twice as the wife ordered and paid at the till. The only good thing was the tea, one to avoid for the future..............Update since our visit, the cafe very kindly reviewed everything and was so kind to my wife the other day, she loved her fresh coffee and the conversation she had to sort the matter out. We will be back to give it another go, many thanks.

Stumbled across this American dinner on Google maps. You can park across the road in the local car park and it’s a 5 min walk from there. The American dinner is situated in the The Penny lane shop and Cafe. The food was amazing good size portions. The children’s hot dog was and adult size hotdog, the macaroni and cheese came served with chips. The staff were friendly and polite and all the food was cooked fresh on site. I would recommend you visit this American Dinner if you like food and the prices were great

Reviewed this place before the refit and although it's now an American diner, they still offer an English fry up. The reason I like this is the quality of ingredients. None of those cheap sausages that other establishments in Selsey use. Fried slice was the finishing touch and replaced the toast.

Unfortunately we only found this diner for breakfast on the last day of our holiday, but what a find! Food was amazing and staff were lovely. It was honestly so good we went back for our evening meal. Definitely recommend this place

The food was amazing, the milkshakes the best I have had. There service just as good. They have an outside seating area with play space for kids. There bathrooms are super clean.

Great little cafe with a large selection of different food to fit most tastes. The breakfasts looked great, milk shakes are huge, as we're the loaded and dirty fries.. which come out served on a tray not a plate they are so big. Delicious grub and friendly service!

Really well done, this little American dinner had a lovely atmosphere, fun decorations and really great food. The onion rings were a stand out for me, really really tasty. The food was all good and really fit the ambience. Give this tasty little place a try, it is worth it.
